 addendum - Therese Powell 14th April 2022

Please see Stop Press regarding the scattering of Therese's ashes.
Hello everyone!  I hope you’ve had a good week and are in a painting mood.
How lucky we are to be living in a relatively civilised and safe country, where we can pursue our various interests, albeit with a big, black Putin-shaped shadow hanging over us all.

It was Diana’s turn today to present the still life but the portrait sitting duties were shared with Elizabeth. 14 members present today, I'm told.
Carolyn, working from home as usual, has sent in two pieces of work.  The first is from a photo of a still life from an earlier session at EAG. She started off in watercolour but finished her painting with colour pencils - as she said, to define it better.  The second submission in pencil is of, as she puts it, ‘our bedroom toys’.

Frances
is just getting over Covid, though luckily not feeling ill, so could not go to EAG today. She sends a sketch done at Redgrave and Lopham Fen the other week and then a larger watercolour based on it.
Sally P did two portraits, one of Diana in the first half and one of Elizabeth in the second half.
Jane has chosen to do the leeks from the still life, in crayon.

The sketch of Diana is from John.
Diana says she enjoyed this morning, even her modelling stint, and thanks everyone who helped out. She has sent us photos of her still life, members at work in the room and two stages of her painting today.
Industrious as ever, Avril has done six portraits, first three of Diana and then three of Elizabeth.
Here is Harriet's picture for
the week.
Picture
Sally L has sent two: first a still life she started with a Norfolk artist, Rachel Thomas. She enjoyed it so much that she decided to work on it the next day at home.
The second picture is from this morning's EAG session, which she also intends to finish off at home.
This is Freda's still life from this
morning
And finally from Jackie, first her quick sketch of Diana, then she concentrated on the still life as she loved the coloured cup. The card sculpture was made last week shile she was self-isolating.  She says, not quite what Jo had in mind but it was fun and fifferent.
Sorry I haven't any more work of my own to show. Having a rest after my painting last week, but thinking about another one, probably from the same area as last week's.
Have a good, C-free week. Remember to send your work to Hannah next time, the theme for which is printing, by Jane, and be thinking about the Chairman's project for 28th April. Subject: Movement (see message from Sally P of 11th January - click here).

Cheers, Noreen
