Sally provided a colourful still life that looked very fresh with fruit and flowers The first is Harriet's she did a very clever thing by adding extra paper to increase the height of the painting. In the middle is Ian C's who returning to oils did the onion and peppers which look vibrant. The third one is Maggie-Anne's delicate pencil drawing which shows good highlights and the last one is by Dianna also with the use of extra paper to increase the size. Sally sat remarkably still for us and posed with her glasses on for the first portrait and with them off for the second Two lovely pencil drawings from Ian S followed by two from Jackie The first two are Lauren's pencil drawings which showed a lot of character. followed by Penney's charcoal sketches with great likenesses from both members. Sally L liked the repose and working with charcoal, pencil and rubber and Avril tried pastel, and watercolour for hers. Jane also sketched Sally and a beautiful puffin that she saw up close and has captured the pose well. Sally continued with the theme for the workshop, and repeated the caution not to mix yellow and blue paint for skies but will add violet to improve it. Barry used a black pen and then added neo colour of a pollarded tree he took the photo of 20 years ago! Frances sent this by e mail - I just spotted the irises outside the entrance to the Bowls Cub so felt the need to capture them quickly! Carolyn drew a very good picture of Avril's dog but modestly sent this comment by e mail - It is quite a nice dog drawing though not quite Sam. I hope you approve of my attempt. The Blogger next week is Sally L
