The first day of the summer programme that merits the name! Six members made the journey to Bury today, and thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine (Judith is missing from the photo below as she had to leave early). Although Sally T is rather obscured by the rope, it was felt that the smiling faces in this magnificent photo reflected the feelings of all. Diana has sent two pieces this week and a photo. She says, 'I’m using water soluble oils this week, the colour seems cleaner than the alkyds.' The final contribution from someone who was not out and about in Bury is from Frances. She is in Brittany at the moment and says, ' I am playing around with leaf prints using an old press we found in an antique/ junk shop here which Nick has renovated for me. I don’t have my printing inks and have been using acrylics. Third image unfinished organisation! Fourth a quick sketch done at Kingston Lacy on Sunday.' So now to the members who DID get to Bury today. First Ian C, who has been very busy! Thanks also for two of the scene-setting photos above. And here are Sally P's sketches - someone else who had a busy day...
