A chilly start to the new year and our first session at the bowls club.
Judith provided us with a challenging still life table, and several different poses to keep us on our toes.
I have to point out that unusually for a life drawing model she put on more clothes as the session progressed, and several of us followed her example ending up in coats.

Sally P and Joanna were on the opposite side of the table
Jenny, Frances and I had a view from one end.
And Lesley and Diana were at the other end of the table, Lesley’s pastel painting on a colourful background gives a very festive feel, and Diana brought a picture of a colourful still life and added some objects from the table in her own inimitable style.
Ian C and Maggie Ann were both focusing on birds.
Ian’s soulful thrush, and Maggie Ann’s chicken which has I notice featured in several other

Frances will be using ‘Hag Stones’ as a starting point for exploring shape and texture in mixed media. Bring Acrylics, pastels, pens, inks etc -Frances will provide the stones! - DETAILS OF WHAT THIS ENTAILS AND WHAT TO BRING NOW ON STOP PRESS
