Something different!
A good turn out, there were 17 of us plus Angela, ready to start at 10am (well nearly, after that cup of coffee). There was a lot to get through as we only had the morning to do it all. Everyone worked very hard. It was an enjoyable morning.
See the details of the workshop below. In summary we painted several pieces of paper different shades of grey plus black and white, then spent some time mark-making, and finally cutting out or tearing shapes to make a compostion or 2 (or 3 even)
After Angela explained what to do, we all started. It all got a bit messy at times, (at least I did - painting my hands and my top) - that's the fun of it and it was all cleared away at the end.
Angela also included a breathing/ drawing exercise - see above as well. Take a deep breathe and at the same time as exhaling, draw a line, as long as the breathe lasts.
The final compostions, see below, were all very diverse and extremely interesting. First up is Angela's example, followed by Avril's 3 compostions and then Barry's. Next Frances's and Jill's 2
Finally here are a few examples of mark making and Lesley's wonderful accidental image.
