Tamsin uses acrylics, she finds that it is a veratile medium which she can add layers and blend to create the effects she desires.
She works with a limited palette using the following colours:
Paynes Grey, Cadium Yellow (medium hue), Dioxazine Purple, Golden Ochre, Titanium White.
She also adds one other colour, for example indigo blue.
First we mixed the colours, see Tamsin's examples below, the first using Paynes Grey and the second using Indigo instead. We all had a go at mixing these colours, Frances went 'off piste' with hers, and produced a lovely abstract image, see below as well

Tamsin did a short demonstate, showing how to produce grasses blowing in the wind. Then we all set about choosing an image from photos - to be used to inspire, not to reproduce. Here are Tamsin's paintings, the first showing how to use acrylic inks to get an impression of vegetation and the second showing grasses at the edge of a field.
