I work in charcoal, pencil, pen, watercolour and acrylic.  Drawing and colour are the two areas which I focus on. In my colour work I  build up layers of washes using acrylic to achieve an intensity of colour. My  recent work is made up of small canvases which I have put together as you would  tiles and based on the Roman box pattern.

My life drawing is mainly charcoal and some water colour. I
enjoy drawing and painting outside as well as in the studio. It is often a  challenge. Some things work and other don’t. You are constantly looking but it  is always stimulating.
