Eileen Walsh

Retirement was my opportunity to paint. I’d always expected to use watercolour but my tutor taught acrylics & oil; with a starter set of acrylics & a few brushes I tentatively started. I was extremely fortunate to have an inspirational teacher, who encouraged me to develop my own style.

I enjoy painting acrylic landscapes, with layers of paint & scratching through to achieve interesting texture. I look for the shapes in the landscape & change the colours.
