My interest in painting started when l was very young. When l was at primary school l discovered colour, the reason being (this is a long time ago) the girls were made to sew but in this particular time the boys did drawing. I was so envious because they used pastels and they were beautiful colours. I think since then I have always been interested in colour. I took up painting seriously, later in life after raising my family, by going to adult classes at lpswich artschool where I was tutored by Ken Cuthbert. I have never lost my interest in the history of art and painting and hope that will continue.
