From a young age I have always loved looking at and making art in all its forms and find that it excites me and makes me feel more alive.
I was an artist in residence for a number of years and worked with young people on a number of varied public commissions. I gained a Fine Art Degree with Honours in Birmingham and Qualified Teaching Status, enabling me to teach Art and Design at High School level for 12 years. I also have experience teaching at college and degree level. I have regularly exhibited singly and in a group at various locations throughout the UK, Spain and New Zealand. I have had many phases where I became interested in certain subjects or concepts. These have mainly been: derelict buildings/churches, flowers, portraits, trees, and at the moment I have a fascination with the facets, colours and shapes of cut gem stones. I am a practising artist who always has something on the go (usually several if I'm honest!!) Commissions accepted, I love the challenge of trying something new. |
