THURSDAY 19.11.15

Josie set up this still life (which she revolved from time to time) as a basis for her very interesting workshop on cubism.
Cubism was invented in Paris around 1907 by the artists Pablo Picasso (1881-1972) and Georges Braque (1882-1963).
Cubism took its influences from Paul Cézanne, who abandoned the tradition of perspective drawing to give his paintings an illusion of depth, and from African tribal masks.
