I work with a variety of media, including oil, acrylic and watercolour. I also enjoy lino printing and some textile work. My subject matter is based on observation of the natural world and reflects my love of abstract pattern coupled with bright colours and sometimes the written word. My sketchbooks and the photographs I take are the foundations of my finished pieces.
Before retirement I taught in secondary schools. Afterwards I continued my link with teaching by running the Diss U3A Art Group for several years.
