A reminder that next week is the last session of the winter programme when we will have the Show And Tell for the Chairman’s Project, ‘Looking Up’.

After the Show and Tell we are having The Frame Swap. If anyone has unwanted picture frames bring them in them to swap with others which are the right size for your entries.

There were a select numbers of members here today who supported each other well. Ian put a sports theme on the table today which tested members with perspective especially with the shoes.
Ian patiently sat for the portraits, while Josie, Judith and myself did our own thing
.Josies three free style paintings were colourful, she said she could print and do separate images. People thought maybe there could be more depth by using contrast.
Judith liked her picture, an exercise from a sketch, but will probably paint on top of it and she used it as practice. She continued with the 007 paintings.

Sally T was disappointed with the likeness of hers. Ian's portraits were done in pencil and he thought a bit faint , although they had good eyes.
Freda was not sure about her perspective with the legs and Mick's pictures looked fine
The still life pictures starting with Sally P, she was pleased with the mottled effect that was made by kitchen roll either adding paint or taking off colour. Then Bea's which she thought needed widening and could include more background to stop the shoes floating. Hanna's was a very detailed piece which needs white for the highlights which will be done at home.
 Harriet is very accomplished as there are lots of angles and I think the shadows worked well. |  Jackie's as ever were very accurate, spot on and she also tried colour. |
Carolyn sent a drawing inside a pub with unusual décor based on houseplants.
