Numbers were down today. A combination of heat fatigue and a pessimistic weather forecast I think! Unfortunately, the forecast was fairly accurate this week, and Jackie tells me that there were four brave souls who enjoyed Judith's hospitality and garden, but also got rather wet!
First, the far landscape, colours muted by the humidity and bleeding into one another.
Second painting featured apples - work in progress.
Rain forced them to retreat under cover so she joined Frances in sketching Judith's cottage. Thanks to Judith for providing shelter!
And here is Carolyn's contribution this week, and indeed it is from the garden. 'I have had 2 sessions in the garden. Today to draw plums; no sun and quite a wind. Inktense don't do plums colours, which is my excuse! The second one has some point. Verbena sows itself quite easily and in strange positions i.e. on the paved area, which is what I tried to show.'
And Maggie-Anne is painting very vivid animals, full of personality...
