8 march 2018 with harriet

Well, last week we were all snowed in, and the session had to be cancelled.  Today, apart from some piles of dirty snow at some of the roadsides, spring seems to be back on course.
Harriet brought us two colourful still life arrays with lots of interesting objects, whether you wanted a group composition, or just one pine cone.  She also brought an excellent model (her husband, Dave), who sat amazingly still for two long poses.

We were reminded during coffee break to bring pictures to replace the insect ones that have been hanging at the wetlands centre over the winter.  These should be of a small to medium size (no bigger than A3 or A2), with name, medium and price (if for sale) on the back, and should be brought in next week (15 March) to give to Sally P.

It is so interesting to see what what completely different images we all make, whether it's from the still life or from the model. There were some good strong results today and every one completely different.

Thanks Hannah for doing an excellent report and giving me a week off!
