| The Pennings is a Nature Reserve, with picnic site, alongside the River Dove. Apart from the attractions of countryside views, the river with its bridge, and nearby Eye Church, there is also in the next field the dilapidated corrugated iron shed - which created some interest! It was a hot (very hot!) day so shade was essential, meaning you could not always place yourself where you would have liked for a good view. Nevertheless, we managed to get engaged with the business of searching for artistic angles or techniques. Good practice and much useful work for future studio efforts!
