Making Mixed Media Art with Gelli Prints Wow! Who knew there were so many different papers, paints, other materials and techniques we could use? Sally began by giving us a run-down on the multitude of availabilities and possibilities (frightening many of us!), before calming us all down and inviting us just to plunge in. A kind of "suck it and see". Well, judging by the furious activity with our Gelli plates and piles of papers in the morning, once we'd got going we started to become really creative and seemed to be thoroughly enjoying it. In the afternoon Sally dealt with questions of subject, from pure abstract to realistic, shapes, composition .... (see Sally's chart below), before launching us into using the morning's Gelli prints together with other media to work up collages and mixed media paintings. What varied and interesting results! Many thanks were due to Sally for her energy and invaluable advice. | My apologies for any images shown the wrong way up below. However, Sally did advise us to view our work from different angles.
