Wow! August already. And some relief in the weather, which was dry but with changeable cloud, and therefore changeable light too. Jackie found the sudden appearance of sun altered her picture completely so she abandoned it, but she kept careful notes for later completion.
Harriet was overgenerous. She promised two cakes and gave us three; she promised us two gardens to paint in and provided three. But Harriet’s own garden, plus the village green, was more than enough for our 11 members today. As usual, a very mixed bag of work from line drawings to painted work and from landscapes to flower studies. And a happy bunch of artists.
We are at Hannah's next week, in Thorndon. Don’t forget to put in your entries for the Swan August exhibition by then (8th).
