Battling some challenging weather conditions, 18 members gathered for a day (or part-day) at Hoxne - a record number for this summer so far. Jackie hosted the day, with coffee at her lovely cottage first thing and tea and cakes to close the day. She arranged access for us at The Swan and Abbey Farm, and there are many other attractive painting opportunities in and around the famed village of Hoxne. Abbey Farm is a superb building, Grade II* listed, parts dating back to the mid-16th century. It is on the site of a former ancient Benedictine Priory. Despite adverse weather, the following efforts were produced and available to view at tea-time. Click on images to enlarge them. | |
