What wonderful weather!  As Carolyn says: great for encouraging us to get outside.

I (Noreen) received a letter from Cynthia, who most of you know and who is now in the Hartismere Care Home. She sends greetings to her “chums in the EAG” and says she is glad her surplus painting gear went to a Good Home. She struggles with her eyesight and hearing and was poorly for several days after her 4th Covid jab, but still seems in good spirits now, enjoying some charcoal drawing at their weekly art club meetings. Best wishes to Cynthia!
Maggie-Anne was in charge at the EAG this morning.  She sat for the portraits and supplied a vast array of beautiful flowers and other items  for the still life.  About 14 members were present.
These are Avril's many portraits. (On SkyArts they complain at only having four hours to complete one portrait!)
Diana has shown us her beautiful watercolour in stages, together with her view of the still life set up and people beavering away.
Frances was inspired by Picasso for her oil pastel and ink still life rendering. She went to the Sainsbury Centre yesterday to see two exhibitions, both of which she enjoyed. The first featured Picasso, his early work and influences, and the other the Scottish Women Colourists.

Harriet
has given us two renderings of her painting of flowers in a jug.
From Jackie we have three lovely drawings of Maggie-Anne,

Sally P
has produced three pieces of work this week, two of the cherry blossom and a 15-minute sketch of Maggie-Anne.
This is Sally T's picture for this week, in watercolour and pen.

And an entry from Jane of the same Spring Flowers and jug, I think.

Carolyn took the opportunity of Roy’s fishing leaves and newts out of his pond, to do the first of these drawings. She says she has outlined Roy’s hand to give the impression of their size, and notes that their tummies are very colourful. The second picture is an attempt at loose drawing of the cherry blossom.

This is my (Noreen's) attempt at painting “Daffs in the Ditch” in acrylics. It was again inspired by a view during one of my regular constitutionals. Other subjects there have tempted me, but are so far proving too complicated to do justice to. I may persist!

Don't forget it is the Chairman's Project on the theme of 'Movement' next week. Sally P urges us to come, even if we haven't done a picture, to support those who have.

Hope to see you lots of you there.
