Sue isn't able to join us quite so often these days, so it was nice to see her 'hosting' this session. Reds! That was the still life challenge on one table: getting the right hue, shade or tint to still clearly portray the objects, their shapes and shadows. The green of the watermelon was a lovely contrast. The other table was equally challenging, to my mind, but in a different way - see what a few of our artists made of these objects. | Sue made a good model, but did we do her justice? It was not easy to capture her delicate likeness. Good to see Tom too today, just recovering from his cataract operation but still drawing away. See his most recent work on his gallery page. Sally reminded us that paintings for the next Earsham Wetland Centre Exhibition are required very soon. I will be able to put the entry form on the website very shortly. Next week it's Frances.
