Ian presented two still life themes: gardening and sport. There was a big range of items to choose from, but most members flocked to the model side, where Ian posed looking very smart in his suit and tie. So, very few still life paintings this week.
It's Josie's turn next week. We heard from Sally P that the Bowls Club will be having their new carpet laid then, so we cannot meet here. Instead Sally has been able to book the Hoxne Village Hall - see Stop Press. When we come back on 4th April we will have to use floor coverings and take extra special care not to damage the new carpet. This is especially important if using oils, acrylic or pastels - but almost any medium can cause problems.
The bird paintings will be hung at Earsham this coming Monday, so be prepared to collect your previous exhibit/s at our meeting on the 28th.
