December already and only 11 members again today.  Sally P reckons cold weather and threat of snow may have put some people off.  Well, we did have a little snow, some sleet, the wind got up at one point, then we had sunshine - typically English with a mix of everything. Luckily not the extremes experienced by some parts of the North where they have been battered by winds up to 98mph and without power for over a week in some areas!
​Let's start with photos from Sally, Diana and Les of people present today, including Sally L (one of the two sitters).

Sally has also sent us a portrait in oils of a friend of a friends, done at her request.  The friend should be pleased with it, I think. Sally herself was not pleased with the portrait she did today of Sally L but has submitted the one she did of Avril.

Of her 4 photos below, Diana says:  1. I love bottles of Quink.  2. Today's effort.  3. Concentration (background).  4.  Hasn’t taken Sweetie long to take over every room in the house

John has sent us his drawings of Avril and Sally L.

Frances had a go at a portrait of both sitters, and also sent us another of her small box canvasses, this one based on Lopham Fen last week.

This is in acrylic and June calls it her Christmas abstract.

Sally T says she needs to do more work on hands and feet.

Sally L says that Diana brought in some seasonal berries, and a "horrible" Quink bottle, so she took advantage of that.
​The landscape is her  beautiful, finished, much larger version of last week's sketch.

Harriet has sent us a painting which she created last year and is now more or less finished. It is of their dog Cherry who died five years ago. Harriet and her husband made and painted the frame.

Here are two portraits from Elizabeth Brito.

And finally some work from Ian. He says he should have send the first one last week, but things overtook him, so he decide on a further attempt at the same scene. I agree with him that it is an improvement.
